Some debates are going on about whether Sonia Gandhi and others will attend the event or not. Rumors are spreading that Mrs. Sonia Gandhi is all set to attend the inauguration because it is a good opportunity to deny the BJP’s target that Congress and INDIA bloc as “anti-Hindu”.
Sonia Gandhi will join the Ram Temple’s consecration ceremony in Ayodhya.
AICC general secretary in charge of communications Jairam Ramesh has confirmed that no final decision has been taken yet, and the “party was considering the issue”. He has said, “Congress Parliamentary Party chairman Sonia Gandhi and Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge have been invited to the inauguration of the Ram Temple. A decision will be taken at an appropriate time, and communicated at an appropriate time.”
The Inauguration ceremony will be held on January 22. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and Bollywood actors Madhuri Dixit and Amitabh Bachchan, among others, will be attending the event. The ceremony will start with the installation of the idol of Ram Lalla at the temple.

However, Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh has confirmed that Sonia Gandhi and Kharge have been invited to the ceremony. He said, “Chairman Congress Parliamentary Party Sonia Gandhi and Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge have been invited to the inauguration of the Ram Temple. A decision will be taken at an appropriate time, and communicated at an appropriate time.”
Opposition parties are turning down an invitation to the ceremony?
The CPIM and CPI also made their decision clear. Brinda Karat has said their party would not participate in a ceremony where they are “using religion as a political weapon.” She also said, “No, we will not go. We respect the religious belief. but they are connecting a religious program with politics. it is not right.”
West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee is also not attending the ceremony. A senior TMC party member has said, “There is no question of Mamata Banerjee or any other representative of the TMC attending the Ram Mandir inauguration at Ayodhya next month. We don’t believe in mixing politics with religion.”
