ED Officers Assaulted During Raid in West Bengal by TMC Supporters !!

Last Friday, the whole team of ED officials was brutally assaulted by the TMC leader’s loyalists. It is reported that their vehicles were also been damaged by the supporters of TMC leader Sheikh Sajahan. But why did this unfortunate incident happen? What caused this to happen? According to the latest reports, the Enforcement Department tried to raid TMC leader Sheikh Sajahan’s residence in West Bengal’s North 24 Parganas district. They tried to raid him in connection with their probe into the ration distribution ‘scam’. But this turned into another unfortunate incident.

They attacked the ED officers when they tried to break the lock of the gate!

According to news reports, the attackers attacked them when the ED team reached Trinamool leader Sheikh Shahjahan’s residence. He is also arrested in connection with the assault. The Enforcement Directorate team was attacked in West Bengal’s Sandeskhkhali. It happened after they tried to raid TMC leader Sheikh Sajahan. The ED team had raided certain locations in North 24 Parganas district in connection with a ration distribution scam case.

It is estimated that there were over 200 locals who were all TMC leader’s supporters. They encircled the ED officials and the armed paramilitary forces accompanying the team too. When the ED team tried to raid the LEADER’S residence in connection with the ration scam. The loyalist team of that leader gathered the officials and they also demonstrated before assaulting them, they also tried to force them to leave the area. But the officials didn’t leave the area. The TMC leader did not open the gate even after multiple calls made by the ED officials. Then they tried to break through and at that moment the supporters attacked them.

However according to an ED Official, “this kind of attack is unprecedented” and they already have sent a report on Sheikh Shahjahan to ED’s Delhi office. The ED also said that the senior police officers, the SP of North 24 Parganas district did not even try to communicate when the ED officers contacted them.
