According to the latest reports, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is going to participate in elections from UP too! Yes you heard it right! Trinamool Congress, which is led by West Bengal PM Mamata Banerjee, is going to contest for one seat from Uttar Pradesh. This is going to happen in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
Trinamool Congress is all set to contest for one seat from Uttar Pradesh?
According to the sources, the Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav has completely agreed to give the Chandauli seat to Mamata Banerjee’s party Trinomul Congress. For the state, former Chief Minister Kamlapati Tripathi’s grandson, Rajeshpati Tripathi, is going to be contested. TMC MP Derek O’Brien has also said that besides contesting all the seats in West Bengal, his party is trying for a few seats in Assam and the Tura Lok Sabha seat in Meghalaya too.
The TMC is all set to contest in one seat in Uttar Pradesh, Chandauli LS constituency.
As an alliance partner they will receive complete support from the Samajwadi Party and Congress. Akhilesh Yadav has reportedly offered the seat .

“A few weeks ago…West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee stated that TMC is fighting all the 42 seats in Bengal. We are also in the fray in a few seats in Assam and the Tura Lok Sabha seat in Meghalaya. There is no change in this position,” O’Brien said. Although On Friday, Congress general secretary-in-charge of communications, Jairam Ramesh has said to the reporters in Delhi , that, the talks about seats were on with West Bengal Chief Minister and TMC chief Mamata Banerjee but seat share has not been finalised yet.
