An unidentified person died after being hit by a moving train on the Yellow Line of the Delhi Metro on Wednesday. An officer gave this information. A senior official of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation said, “There was a delay of 20 minutes in the services after the incident took place in the premises of Udyog Bhawan metro station. The Yellow Line connects Millennium City Centre-Gurugram and Samaypur Badli in Delhi.
According to Metro Police, the deceased has not been identified yet. A mobile number was found written on a slip found in his pocket. He said that further investigation is going on. Delhi Metro official said that the incident happened around 11.30 am and the train was going towards the University Metro station.
Earlier on February 16, a heavy metal pipe had fallen on the scooter of a 26-year-old woman from Subhash Nagar station of Delhi Metro in West Delhi. The woman was injured in this accident. The incident related to it had gone viral on social media. In the video, some people can be seen picking up a white pipe that had fallen on a two-wheeler which had fallen from the metro station. The officer said that the woman’s scooter was damaged in the incident. According to the woman’s statement, she does not wish to take legal action yet.
