Tragic Incident in Kasganj, UP: 15 Pilgrims Lose Lives as Tractor Falls Into Pond

A tractor trolley filled with devotees who were going to take a bath in the Ganga overturned in the pond near village Gadhai on the police station Dariyavganj Patiali road. There are reports of painful deaths due to drowning of more than a dozen people, including children and women. Relief work is going on with the help of the villagers. Many seriously injured devotees have been referred.

DM has confirmed that 15 bodies including 7 children and 8 women have been recovered. Three people are said to be injured. Rescue operation is still going on. Nearby villagers and policemen are engaged in relief and rescue operations. The devotees rescued from the pond have been sent to the health center in Patiala. So far 15 devotees have died.

How did the accident happen?

The incident took place near Gadhaiya village lying between Dariyavganj Patiali road in the Patiali Kotwali area of ​​Kasganj district. Where people living in village Chhote Kas of Jaithra police station area of ​​Etah district were going to Kadarganj Ganga Ghat in Patiali tehsil area of ​​Kasganj to take a bath in Ganga due to full moon day. Then, while trying to avoid a collision with a vehicle near the village of Gadhiya in the Daryaavganj area, the tractor-trolley went out of control and fell into the pond.

Instructions have been given to give Rs 50 thousand to all the seriously injured. CM has given instructions to provide immediate free treatment to all the injured.
