Accidental Shooting Inside Police Station Leaves Woman Injured

A 48-year-old woman named Ishrat got mistakenly shot, that too inside a police station. She is now admitted to the government hospital and according to the latest reports, her condition is critical. The video of the incident of the woman getting shot was captured on CCTV.

Woman was Mistakenly Shot in Head by a Cop!

This incident happened in Uttar Pradesh. Police personnel mistakenly shot the woman in the head from close range inside the police station in Aligarh. The video of the CCTV shows that the victim was accompanied by a man. They were sitting on a chair, and at that time the sub-inspector Manoj Sharma accidentally fired the gun. It is reported that the woman had come to the police station only for passport verification. The victim was taken to Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College for urgent medical attention.

Kalanidhi Naithani, who is the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP)of Aligarh, has said, the accused police officer was suspended with immediate effect, and a criminal case was registered against him. A manhunt also has been launched to arrest the accused, who is named Manoj Sharma.

“A bullet was fired from Manoj Sharma’s pistol in the CCTNS office. The woman standing nearby was seriously injured. The doctors of the hospital are giving her every possible treatment. Family members said that she had come for passport verification and her son was also standing there with her,” said Naithani.

In the video, the woman can be seen standing in the police station with a man.  After some time, another police official came and handed a pistol to Sharma. He loaded the pistol and accidentally fired at the woman, the woman fell to the ground immediately.
