Former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh’s Panchkula residence has been targeted by thieves, with reports of cash and jewellery missing. The incident raises concerns about the safety of high-profile individuals and the challenges faced by the police in such investigations.
Yuvraj Singh’s mother, Sabnam Singh has reported a theft in their house in Mansa Devi Complex (MDC), Sector 4, Panchkula. The incident happened 5 months back. Sabnam was in their other house when the robbery took place. After coming back she discovered that 2 lakh worth of jewellery and 75 thousand cash was stolen from the locked cupboard that was on the ground floor of the house.
Yuvraj’s mother tried to investigate her way but reached nowhere. She suspected both of her house helpers Lalita Devi and Salinder Das, who abruptly terminated their contracts and left the job before Diwali. From then on they are unreachable. Sabnam Singh interrogated all the other servants as well. Although her suspicion is fully on Lalita Devi and Salinder Das. According to her, Lalita Devi and Salinder Das have taken out the key from the drawer of the jewellery and cash cupboard.
A complaint of theft was lodged with the police. MDC police station SHO Dharampal Singh said that he is currently out due to duty. Therefore, this matter is not in their cognizance yet.
