IPL 2025: Kolkata Knight Riders Retain Core Players, Release Captain Shreyas Iyer !!

Ahead of the IPL 2025 auction, defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have released the list of their retained players. The biggest news from the KKR camp is that their title-winning captain Shreyas Iyer has been released, who will now be available in the auction.

This time, KKR has retained six players. The biggest retention has been given to young batsman Rinku Singh for Rs 13 crore. He is followed by Varun Chakraborty, Sunil Narayan, and Andre Russell, who have been retained for Rs 12 crore each. Apart from this, Harshit Rana and Ramandeep Singh have been retained in the team for Rs 4 crore each.

It is worth noting that KKR’s uncapped fast bowler Harshit Rana has also been included in the Indian team for the third Test against New Zealand.

Kolkata Knight Riders retained players:

Rinku Singh: Rs 13 crore
Varun Chakravarthy: Rs 12 crore
Sunil Narine: Rs 12 crore
Andre Russell: Rs 12 crore
Harshit Rana: Rs 4 crore
Ramandeep Singh: Rs 4 crore
