The Jhansi Medical College fire in Uttar Pradesh has given such pain to 10 families that they will hardly be able to forget it. 10 newborn children were burnt alive in the flames. The family members of the innocent children are still present outside the hospital, who cannot believe that their babies are no more in this world.
A fire broke out in the infant ward at 10:30 pm on Friday due to a short circuit. After this the oxygen cylinder exploded. In this accident, 10 children died and 16 were seriously injured. CM Yogi Adityanath has ordered an investigation regarding this accident. At the same time, officers have been instructed to give compensation of Rs 5 lakh each to the families of the deceased.
Other patients also appeared troubled by the fire in the hospital. The family members of the infamts alleged that the hospital management told them to take the child to a private hospital. Since they were was from poor families, they couldn’t go anywhere else. Kept sitting in the cold all night with the children for treatment. Finally the children, who had been waiting for treatment all night, were admitted to the hospital and then this devastating incident occurred.
