A helicopter has crashed near Bavdhan Budruk village in Pune, Maharashtra. 3 people have died in this accident. The villagers informed the Hinjewadi police control room. Police and medical team have been dispatched. According to DGCA, the Agusta 109 helicopter with registration VT-EVV of Heritage Aviation crashed about 20 nm from the Oxford Helipad in Pune.
DGCA said that there were two pilots and an AME in the helicopter, while there were no passengers. All three crew members on the helicopter are reported dead. The pilots were Captain Pillai and Captain Paramjeet. The helicopter took off at 7 in the morning. There is a possibility of an accident due to dense fog in this area. Emergency services have reached the spot and rescue operations are underway. Hinjewadi Police Station (Pimpri Chinchwad Police) and aviation officials have reached the spot.

Earlier in the month of August also, there was an incident of helicopter crash in Pune, in which four people were injured. The helicopter took off from Juhu in Mumbai towards Hyderabad.
