But even after that, the police could not produce her in court.
The court was informed by the police that Jaya Prada has been repeatedly evading arrest. All her phones keep switching off. After this, Judge Shovit Bansal declared Jayaprada absconding. The judge ordered the Superintendent of Police of Rampur to arrest Jayaprada and bring her to court by March 6. Jaya Prada finally reached the court with her lawyers on Monday. She appeared before Special Court Magistrate Shovit Bansal.
She was first taken into judicial custody by the court during the hearing of the case on Monday. As a result, Jaya Prada had to stand in court for quite some time. But considering her plea and as she was ill, the court later granted her conditional bail. Jaya Prada was granted bail on a bond of Rs 20,000 for the two cases, totaling Rs 40,000.
On that day, Jaya Prada assured the court that she would appear in court in person for every hearing and would not apply for exemption from appearance. And after her assurance, the court granted her bail. After the court ordered her arrest on February 27, Jaya Prada filed a petition in the Allahabad High Court to quash the non-bailable warrant issued against her.
