Man, 4 daughters found dead in Delhi home, police suspects murder-suicide!

In Rangpuri area of Vasant Kunj, Delhi, a father along with his four daughters committed suicide by consuming poisonous substance. Police recovered the dead body from the flat on Friday morning. According to Delhi Police, the father worked as a carpenter and his wife died of cancer a year ago.

50 year old Heera Lal lived with his family in a rented house in Rangpuri village. The wife had died earlier. The family had 18 year old daughter Neetu, 15 year old Nishi, 10 year old Neeru and eight year old daughter Nidhi. All four daughters were unable to walk due to disability.

All five decomposed bodies lying on the floor

In the CCTV footage, the person is seen going inside the house on the 24th. Since then the door of the house was locked from inside. Among the four daughters, one daughter was blind. One had difficulty walking. Police is gathering information about the rest. Sachets of sulfas have been found from them. According to news agency ANI, after receiving information from neighbors at 10:18 am on Friday, the police broke the lock of the flat and took out the bodies.

Hiralal, who worked as a carpenter in the Spinal Injury Hospital located in Vasant Kunj, was responsible for the care of the children. On Friday, a foul smell started coming from Hiralal’s flat. On this, a person from the house located on the other side of the road called the police and informed about the foul smell.

When Vasant Kunj South police reached the flat, people nearby told that the family had not been seen for many days. When the police broke the door in the presence of the landlord and other people, a terrible smell started coming from inside. When the police entered the room, Hiralal’s body was lying on the bed in the first room. The decomposed bodies of the daughters were in the other room.

According to DCP Rohit Meena, Vasant Kunj South Police has started investigation by sending the bodies for post-mortem.
