Bus hits pedestrians in Mumbai’s Kurla area. The bus lost control and hit the pedestrians, dead at the spot. The bus driver has been arrested, the injured are undergoing treatment. It is seen in the CCTV footage that the speeding bus first hit an auto rickshaw. After this, for the next 200 meters of distance, the bus kept hitting cars and motorcycles in front of it. Then it hits the sidewalk and crushed the common people walking on the side of the road.
Seeing this horrific incident, the people nearby came running. The injured were rescued and immediately taken to the hospital. According to preliminary information, the brakes of the bus that had left Kurla station failed and the driver lost control of the bus. The driver got scared and instead of pressing the brakes he pressed the accelerator, increasing the speed of the bus. Unable to control the bus, he hit 30-35 people, many people died, 4 people were in critical condition.
