Security forces got a big success on Friday morning in Bhejji police station area of Naxal affected Konta development block of Sukma district of Chhattisgarh. In the encounter with Naxalites in Bhejji forest, security forces killed more than 10 Naxalites. The bodies of all the 10 Naxalites killed in the encounter have been recovered. During this operation, the soldiers recovered many weapons including an INSAS rifle, an AK-47, a self-loading rifle and a huge quantity of ammunition.
Looking at the automatic weapons recovered from the encounter site, there is a possibility that big leaders of Naxalites may also have been killed in this encounter. Police have confirmed the encounter, but details have not been made available at this time.
Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai expressed happiness over the achievement of security forces in the Naxalite encounter and said that development, peace and safety of citizens in Bastar region is the top priority of his government. He said, “The era of peace, development and progress has returned to Bastar and we will continue to take concrete steps in this direction in future also.”
The Chief Minister congratulated the security forces for their indomitable courage and dedication and said that the Naxalites are certain to be eliminated from Chhattisgarh. He also informed that the state government is working in a planned manner to fulfill the target set by Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah to eliminate Naxalites from Chhattisgarh by March 2026.
