
A case of 80 schoolgirls allegedly being ordered to take off their shirts has come to light in a private school in Dhanbad district of Jharkhand. Giving information about this on Saturday, an official said that the principal of a private school has been accused of ordering 80 class 10 girl students to take off their shirts to write messages.
The administration has started investigation regarding these allegations
The girls were allegedly forced to return home in blazers without shirts, it is alleged. Dhanbad Deputy Commissioner (DC) Madhavi Mishra said that the incident took place on Friday in a school in Digwadih of Jorapokhar police station area. The parents, in their complaint to the DC, have said that Class 10 students were celebrating ‘Pen Day’ by writing messages on each other’s shirts after giving the examination. The principal objected to this and asked the girl students to take off their shirts. However, he later apologized for this act.
Dhanbad Deputy Commissioner (DC) Madhavi Mishra said that many parents have filed complaints against the principal. We also talked to some victimized girls. The administration has taken the matter seriously. An inquiry committee has been formed to investigate the matter. This investigation committee includes Sub-Divisional Magistrate, District Education Officer, District Social Welfare Officer and Sub-Divisional Police Officer.
