After facing defeat against New Zealand, the young Indian team led by Suryakumar Yadav will now play a four-match T20 series in South Africa starting on November 8.
However, the importance of this T20 series has diminished a bit due to two big events to be held next year—the final of the ICC World Test Championship in 2025 and the Champions Trophy in February. But, this series is a great opportunity for young players to showcase their talent, especially when they play against one of the strongest teams in the world.
With this, the IPL 2025 mega auction is going to be held in the last week of November, so these emerging players will have a golden opportunity to attract the attention of franchise teams.
The Indian team will be accompanied by the NCA coaching staff and VVS Laxman, as head coach Gautam Gambhir leaves for the five-Test series against Australia on November 10.
On the other hand, the South African team will take the field with the intention of avenging their previous defeat in this series against India. Notably, they lost to India in the 2024 T20 World Cup.
