US Pulls the Plug on Intelligence Sharing with Ukraine After Tensions with Trump!

Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky is facing even more trouble after a heated argument with President Donald Trump. In a new blow to Ukraine, the US has now decided to stop sharing intelligence with the country. This comes after the US previously put a halt to the military aid being sent to Ukraine. With the ongoing war against Russia, this latest move could make things even harder for Ukraine. But some experts believe this could just be a short pause.

Reports from AP say that stopping intelligence sharing means Ukraine will no longer receive crucial information that helped them target Russian forces. This kind of intel about Russia’s moves and plans has been super important for Ukraine’s defense. Even though this is a setback, officials from the Trump administration said on Wednesday that since both countries are still talking positively, this might just be a temporary suspension.

When Will Intelligence Sharing Return?

Mike Waltz, the National Security Advisor of the US, discussed the pause on intelligence sharing and said, “We’ve taken a step back to review everything in this relationship.” According to Waltz, once Zelensky shows that he’s serious about joining peace talks under Trump’s terms, the US might start sharing intelligence with Ukraine again.

CIA Director Weighs In

CIA Director John Ratcliffe also shared his thoughts on the situation. He pointed out that this halt followed a rough meeting between Trump and Zelensky in the Oval Office. Ratcliffe mentioned that Trump wants to know if Zelensky is truly committed to peace. He described the intelligence pause as just a “temporary break,” and added, “On the military and intelligence fronts, this pause will end, and I believe we’ll continue working side by side with Ukraine, just like before.”
