“We looked at around 25 houses”, Vidya on living in a rented house!

Vidya Balan has been in the industry for many years. It has been many years since her marriage with Siddharth Roy Kapoor, but till now she lives in a rented house. Now Vidya told that she wants to buy her dream house. Vidya told why despite having her own reservations, she lives in a rented house.

Vidya tried to find a house with her mother first

Vidya said that you should buy only that house in which you walk in and feel that it is yours. Vidya told about her experience of looking for a house, when she was looking for a house with her mother 15 years ago, she wanted a house at a place which was near Bandra or Juhu.

Vidya further said that during her search she found a perfect house, but it was out of her budget. However, his mother had asked him to manage the EMI. Even after marriage with Siddharth, Vidya started looking for a house with him. Both of them saw 25 houses, but they did not like those apartments.They both finally found a house they liked, but it was on rent – something Vidya was not comfortable with.

Why does Vidya live on rent with her husband?

Now after the struggle of finding their perfect house, they again went to the same property to take it on rent. Explaining the reason behind this, Vidya said that such a space is rarely available which has a garden and also has a sea view. She joked that the arrangement was special to her because her landlord was “happy to earn a big check” from the deal.
