Hemant Soren’s Delhi Home: Rs 36 Lakh Cash, Luxury Car Seized as ED Makes Big Claim

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) raided three locations including the residence of Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren in Delhi. After searching the premises of Soren, who is involved in the alleged land scam, the investigating agency has claimed to have found cash, a car, and documents. However, the investigating agency could not meet the CM, who was reported to be in Delhi till Sunday night. ED sources said on Tuesday that apart from the SUV car, cash worth Rs 36 lakh was seized from Soren’s premises.

A team from the Central Investigation Agency reached Soren’s residence in Shanti Niketan in the capital Delhi on Monday morning. The team stayed here for about 13 hours. ED sources said that CM Hemant Soren was not found at the bungalow during this period. Cash worth Rs 36 lakh was seized during the raid. A BMW car with a Haryana number plate which is registered in the name ‘Benami’ was also found. Apart from this, it has also been said that some important documents have been found.

ED has also released the picture of cash found in Hemant Soren’s house. Many bundles of Rs 500 notes are visible in it. It has been told that this amount is Rs 36 lakh. The recovered cash has been confiscated by the Enforcement Directorate.

Where is Hemant Soren?

ED sources have also said that when the team reached Delhi residence on Monday morning, Chief Minister Hemant Soren was not found there. Till Sunday night, Soren was reported to be present in this residence. Soren, who came out of the residence before the ED raid, has not come forward yet. No concrete information has come to light regarding Soren’s whereabouts. There is speculation that Soren has left for Jharkhand by road. ED wants to interrogate Soren for the second round in the alleged land scam. Earlier on January 20, Soren was interrogated in Ranchi.
