Nitish Kumar has taken oath as the Chief Minister of Bihar for the 9th time. Governor Rajendra Arlekar administered him the oath of office and secrecy at a ceremony held at Raj Bhavan in Patna. Along with him, two Deputy CMs of the BJP have also taken the oath. It includes Samrat Chaudhary and Vijay Sinha. Slogans of Jai Shri Ram were also heard during the swearing-in ceremony at Raj Bhavan in Patna. Apart from Nitish, 8 other leaders took oath on Sunday. These include three each from JDU and BJP, one from HAM, and one independent MLA.
The swearing-in ceremony at Raj Bhavan started at 5 pm on Sunday. Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar first administered the oath of office to Nitish Kumar as Chief Minister. After this, Samrat Chaudhary and Vijay Sinha took the oath of office and secrecy. Both are going to get the post of Deputy CM in the Nitish-led NDA government.
Samrat Chaudhary is currently the Bihar President of BJP. After Nitish joined the Grand Alliance, the BJP handed over the command of the state to him. In the last year, he was continuously doing politics vocally against Nitish Kumar. Now he has been made deputy in the Nitish-led government. At the same time, Leader of Opposition and former speaker Vijay Sinha has also been made Deputy CM. He was also vocal against Nitish from the streets to the Parliament. Now he will work closely with the Chief Minister.
Vijay Chaudhary took oath at number four
At number four, JDU leader Vijay Chaudhary, considered special to CM Nitish, took oath as minister. He had the responsibility of the Finance Department in the Grand Alliance Government. He is considered the number two leader of JDU in Bihar government.
After Vijay Chaudhary, senior JDU leader and Supaul MLA Bijendra Prasad Yadav took oath at fifth position. After this, the oath was administered to BJP leader Prem Kumar. He has been a minister in the past also.
At number seven, JDU MLA Shravan Kumar took oath as minister. He comes from Nitish Kumar’s home district Nalanda. After him, Santosh Kumar Suman, son of former CM Jitan Ram Manjhi and national president of Hindustan Awam Morcha, took the oath. Manjhi’s party has supported Nitish’s new government. There are four MLAs from HAM in the Bihar Assembly.
Last of all, independent MLA Sumit Kumar Singh took oath as minister. Before this, he had also been a minister in the NDA and Grand Alliance governments. Sumit Singh is also considered close to Nitish.

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has become the CM of Bihar for the 9th time. He is the first leader of the state to do so. There has never been any such leader in Bihar who became the Chief Minister for so long. Within the last two decades, the ruling coalition in Bihar kept changing, but Nitish Kumar remained at the center of power.
