The Trinamool Congress supremo, Chief Minister, Mamata Banerjee suffered a ligament injury on her left knee in June and had to undergo a microsurgery. Mamata returned from Spain to Kolkata on Saturday night and visited SSKM Hospital the next afternoon for treatment of her swollen left knee.
At first, it was reported that Mamata Banerjee went there for a health check-up but publishing the medical bulletin, the doctors said that Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee got injured again at the same place of the old injury. It is known that Mamata Banerjee’s left knee is swollen and she’s advised to take a 10-day rest. Manirmoy Banerjee, director of SSKM Hospital, published the medical bulletin and said that last week, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee suffered a new injury at the old injury site. Three months ago, she injured his hip joint and knee ligaments while disembarking from a helicopter. After an MRI, it was revealed that he had injured his knee again. Mamata Banerjee was injured last week while on a foreign tour.
Mamata Banerjee is the politician who is the eighth and current chief minister of the Indian state of West Bengal since 20 May 2011, and she’s the first woman to hold the office. In 1998 she got separated from the Indian National Congress and became its second chairperson in 2001. She is often referred to as ‘Didi’ which means “elder sister”. She previously served twice as Minister of Railways, also the first woman to do so. She is also the second female Minister of Coal, and Minister of Human Resource Development, Youth Affairs and Sports, Women and Child Development in the cabinet of the Indian government.
