Sonu Nigam, Who Once Had Issues with Azaan, Now Explains Quran – Check Video

In 2017, Sonu Nigam’s tweet about Azaan has become viral. The singer went to Twitter to complain against ‘forced religiousness’. Because he used to wake up by morning again, every day. He also wrote, ‘I am not a Muslim, why am I being woken up by Azaan.’ But things seem to be changing now, as another video is going viral. In that video, Sonu Nigam is explaining the Quraan!

Sonu Nigam changed as a human being?

A video of Sonu Nigam, in an interview, is going viral. Sonu Nigam is explaining what Quraan says, in that video. He explained how all humans are equal before God, regardless of race, class, or nationality. He said, “ Quraan says… tu izzat dega, tu zillat dega. Tune izzat di, tujhe zillat Mila. Tere PE hai.”

But this was not the seen always, as Sonu Nigam once opened up against Azaan. The singer had complained how he was bothered by the sound of azaan in the morning. In 2017, The singer complained of ‘forced religiousness’ on being woken up to the sound of azaan (a mosque’s call to prayer) even though he is not a Muslim.

“God bless everyone. I’m not a Muslim and I have to be woken up by the Azaan in the morning. When will this forced religiousness end in India,” he wrote on Twitter at that time. This was a very controversial tweet at that time. His fans weren’t happy about it. This tweet has not gone down well with a lot of his fans and followers. Explaining his stand further, Sonu Nigam also said “And by the way, Mohammed did not have electricity when he made Islam. Why do I have to have this cacophony after Edison? I don’t believe in any temple or gurudwara using electricity To wake up people who don’t follow the religion. Why then..? Honest? True? Gundagardi hai bus.”

But his recent viral post says that he has changed a lot since then. From being against of Azaan to explaining the meaning of Quraan, we can say that Sonu Nigam is a brand new person now.
