After Tirupati Balaji Devasthan, now questions have been raised regarding the offerings of Siddhivinayak Ganpati Temple in Mumbai, the place of worship of millions of Ganesh devotees not only in Mumbai, Maharashtra but across the country. A video clip and some photos of Lord Ganesha’s Laddu Prasad are going viral on social media. Due to this, questions were raised regarding the Prasad being prepared by the temple administration. The temple administration denied this today and also asked a DCP-level officer to investigate the entire matter.
In the video clip viral on social media, some packets of laddus are lying in a blue-colored carat, and baby rats are found in a plastic bag there.
Attempt to tarnish reputation- Temple Trust.
On behalf of the temple trust, it was said that this appears to be an attempt to tarnish our reputation. The temple makes every possible effort to ensure that the prasad is prepared in a hygienic place. Ghee, cashew nuts, and other ingredients will first be sent to Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) for testing. Water is also tested in the laboratory. Three government officials oversee operations to maintain strict standards.
Temple Trust’s full attention to cleanliness
According to the temple trust, there is no possibility of dirt. There is no possibility of such unhygienic conditions. When the Prasadam controversy of Tirupati temple started, our premises were also inspected. All safety and hygiene protocols are being followed there.
It is noteworthy that this video has come amid the ongoing controversy regarding laddus being given as prasad in Tirupati temple. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu had on September 18 alleged that the previous YS Jaganmohan Reddy government used animal fat in Tirupati laddus.
