The 36th match of IPL between Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bangalore was played at Eden Gardens. In this match, a ruckus broke out on the wicket of Virat Kohli. Virat Kohli, who came out with captain Plessis to chase the target from KKR, was batting on 18 runs, when he got caught by the bowler on Harshit Rana’s full toss ball, due to which the umpire declared him out, but Kohli wasn’t ready to accept it. Then review of the ball was done. However, the third umpire also declared Kohli out, after which Kohli was furious. His anger got the best out of him as he left the field.Navjot Singh Sidhu, who was commenting on this wicket,gave a statement about this incident supporting Kohli.
Sidhu protested against the umpire’s decision
When Kohli was out, Navjot Singh Sidhu, who was doing the commentary, did not look at all happy with the umpire’s decision. Told him in clear words,Chhati thok ke kahunga, he was not out” . Not only this, this former cricketer further said, ‘How can you give Kohli out in such a big match.’ Fans are also angry on social media over Kohli being given out. Users are raising questions on the umpire and technology.

Actually, Virat and Plessis gave a great start to RCB while chasing the target of 223 runs. Virat had scored 18 runs in just 6 balls with the help of 2 sixes and 1 four. The first ball of Harshit Rana, who came with the third over, was a full toss, which went high in the air after hitting Virat’s bat and the bowler took the catch. The umpire declared Kohli out. Virat immediately took review of the no ball. Kohli got angry when the third umpire also declared Virat out.Kohli was so unhappy with this decision that he was seen arguing with the umpire while leaving the field.
Navjot Singh Sidhu later posted a video of himself supporting Virat Kohli and explaining how the decision was wrong and rules should be used for clarification and rules should be changed for the progress. He ended his video saying “he (Virat) was not out”
