India will not travel to Pakistan for the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy

A day ago, there was news quoting the Pakistan Cricket Board that it has agreed to the hybrid model for India’s matches in the Champions Trophy 2025. Hybrid model means India’s matches will be held in a third country, but this was denied by the Pakistan Board the very next day. Now the latest news is that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has informed the International Cricket Council (ICC) that the Indian team will not tour Pakistan. The Board has advised the Government of India not to send the team to Pakistan. Let us tell you that the Champions Trophy tournament with the participation of eight teams will be organized on the 19th of next year.

Team India will not go to Pakistan to play its matches

The Board of Control for Cricket in India, or BCCI, has informed the ICC as per the news of ESPN Cricinfo that they have received advice from the Government of India not to send the team to play the match against Pakistan.

When there were reports in the media on Friday that the PCB was ready for the hybrid model, then within a few hours PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi had completely rejected the hybrid model. He even said that this model has not even been discussed.

However, now that such news has come from sources that BCCI, following the opinion of the Government of India, has informed the ICC about its decision, now the Pakistan Cricket Board has no option but to adopt the hybrid model. There is no option left. According to the information, PCB has already shortlisted some countries, but it is believed that UAE is the first choice due to its proximity to Pakistan, while Sri Lanka is also an option.
