IPL 2024: Pant’s Delhi Capitals in trouble again, Kuldeep Yadav may be out for a long time!

Delhi Capitals team has had a very bad start in IPL 2024. Out of the first four matches, they have faced crushing defeat in three matches. They have to play their next match against Mumbai Indians. Kuldeep Yadav’s injury has dealt a huge blow to the Delhi Capitals team just before its 5th match of the season. Kuldeep Yadav has suffered a back injury. Due to which he could not play for his team in the last two matches for Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders.

Meanwhile, another big update has come out regarding him. Which is bad news for the fans of the team.

Kuldeep’s Injury is increasing tension

According to the report of ESPNcricinfo, Kuldeep has been advised rest as a precaution, but there is no confirmation yet as to when he will be ready to play again. The injury is probably not serious, considering that Kuldeep is traveling with the Capitals team and is currently in Mumbai where his team will play their next match against Mumbai Indians on April 7.

Kuldeep played the first two matches of the Capitals this season. In both the matches, he took three wickets against Punjab Kings and Rajasthan Royals. But he missed his next matches against Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders at his home ground Visakhapatnam. In the two matches played at home, Delhi won against CSK, but lost the match against KKR by 106 runs. In this match, the team missed an experienced bowler like Kuldeep Yadav.

Kuldeep is part of the World Cup plan

The Indian selectors will be keeping a close eye on Kuldeep’s progress as he is part of the Indian team’s plans for the T20 World Cup starting June 1 in West Indies and USA. Kuldeep entered the IPL after the five-match Test series against England, where he looked in great form.Kuldeep played from the second Test onwards and took 19 wickets, including five in the final Test in Dharamshala, where he was named player of the match. After Sunday’s game, the Capitals’ next match is against Lucknow Super Giants in Lucknow on April 12. The team would be hoping that Kuldeep gets fit before this match and becomes a part of the playing 11 as soon as possible.
