IPL 2025: Delhi to Release Rishabh Pant, Retain Kuldeep and Axar Patel for Upcoming Season

As the time of IPL 2025 retention is getting closer. Along with the players, the beats of the fans have also increased. All ten IPL franchises have to submit their list by October 31 as per BCCI guidelines.

Even before the IPL 2025 auction, Delhi Capitals has made many changes. Delhi Capitals has removed Sourav Ganguly from the post of IPL Cricket Director. In his place, Venugopal Rao was made the team director of IPL. Whereas Sourav Ganguly will now look after the Women’s Premier League and South Africa League.

Actually, Delhi Capitals announced on Thursday that they have selected Hemang Badani and Venugopal Rao as the new head coach and director of IPL respectively. Venugopal Rao has got the responsibility of team director in IPL in place of Sourav Ganguly.

Pant was expected to be DC’s first-choice retention along with Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav. At the same time, Australian duo Jake Fraser-McGurk and Mitchell Marsh as well as South Africa’s Tristan Stubbs are also in the list of potential retained players. There is also an option to retain Abhishek Porel as an uncapped player.
