Kolkata Knight Riders defeated Delhi Capitals in their third match. While batting, Sunil Narine played an innings of 85 runs in 39 balls. Angkrish Raghuvanshi scored 54 runs in 27 balls in his first IPL innings. After this Russell played an inning of 41 runs in 19 balls. Rinku Singh also scored 26 runs in 8 balls. After this, in bowling, Vaibhav Arora took 3 wickets for 27 runs in 4 overs. Whereas Mitchell Starc managed to take 2 wickets for 25 runs in 3 overs. Varun Chakraborty took 3 wickets for 33 runs.
The Delhi team failed on every front
The Delhi team failed on every front in this match. First of all, captain Rishabh Pant lost the toss and after that, Sunil Narine gave such a start to Kolkata that it seemed as if the bowlers of Delhi Capitals were destroyed. No bowler from Delhi could bowl economically. Enrique Norkhia gave away 59 runs in 4 overs. Rasikh Salam gave 47 runs in 3 overs. Khalil Ahmed and Ishant Sharma gave away 43-43 runs. Akshar Patel bowled one over and he also scored 18 runs. After this, Warner was out after scoring 18 runs while Shaw was out after scoring 10 runs. Mitchell Marsh and Abhishek Porel could not even open their account. Rishabh Pant scored 55 runs in 25 balls and Tristan Stubbs scored 54 runs in 32 balls, somehow saving Delhi from collapsing early. However, Delhi still suffered its biggest defeat of this season.
