Nepal has announced its 15-member team for the T20 World Cup 2024, which is going to be held in America and West Indies from June 1. The Nepal team, which has qualified for this global tournament for the second time, will take the field under the captaincy of all-rounder Rohit Paudel. Most of the players of the team have been selected based on their performance in the ACC Premier Cup and the ongoing T20 series against West Indies A.
The 15-member Nepal team will be captained by Rohit Paudel. The Nepal team will play its first match against the Netherlands on June 4. The squad also includes Gulshan Jha, who participated in the T20 World Cup this year. Fast bowling all-rounders Karan KC and Sompal Kami are also included in the team. Nepali players have a lot of experience in T20 cricket. Deependra Singh Airi has scored the most runs in T20 cricket for Nepal. Deependra has scored 1626 runs in 64 matches at an average of 38.71, which included one century and 9 half-centuries. After them are Rohit Paudel and Kushal Bhurtel, who have so far scored 1108 and 1081 runs in 49 and 43 matches respectively.
There are two players in the squad released by Nepal Cricket Association, who have returned to the team after 10 years. These players made their debut in the team in the year 2014. Both these players are getting a chance in the T20 World Cup 2024. The names of these players are fast-bowling all-rounder Karan KC and left-arm orthodox spinner Lalit Rajbanshi. Let us tell you that the last date for making changes in the team has been fixed as the 25th. After this, changes cannot be made in the team.
Nepal has played 85 T20 International matches so far, of which it has won 49. Whereas he had to face defeat in 33 matches. There was no result in two matches and one match ended in a tie.
