Oman T20 World Cup 2024 Squad & Full Schedule

The Oman team, which is playing the T20 World Cup for the third time, on Wednesday appointed all-rounder Aqib Ilyas as the captain in the upcoming T20 World Cup. On being handed over the captaincy, Aqib said that this is a big responsibility and he will try to make the team win as many matches as possible. Former captain Zeeshan Maqsood has also been included in the team.

Oman has been preparing hard for the tournament under the watchful eyes of head coach Duleep Mendis( former captain of team Sri Lanka) and has picked a strong side packed with plenty of impact players. Former team captain Zeeshan Maqsood will assist captain Aqib Ilyas in the assignments. Off-spinner Jay Odedara is part of the squad touring UAE but has been placed among reserves for the five-nation home series. The team will be looking up to Kashyap Prajapati, Naseem, Aqib, and Zeeshan in the top order. Wicket-keepers Pratik Athavale and Ayaan Khan might play in the middle or lower middle order.
