The Champions Trophy 2025 will be played from February 19 to March 9 next year, with March 10 being the reserve day. The International Cricket Council (ICC) has started looking for a window for this. Meanwhile, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has fixed its team’s important match in the Champions Trophy against arch-rival India in Lahore on March 1 next year. However, BCCI has not yet given its consent on the temporary schedule. A senior member of the ICC Board gave this information to PTI on Wednesday.
BCCI has not yet given approval
This will be the first time since 1996 that Pakistan will host a major ICC tournament, although it hosted the entire Asia Cup in 2008 and some matches of the same tournament on its soil last year too. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is yet to officially confirm whether it will send the national team to Pakistan for the ICC tournament or not.
