Former all-rounder of the Indian cricket team and former batting coach of Team India, Sanjay Bangar is in the news these days. His son Aryan Bangar took a step which is being talked about everywhere. Aryan, who was born as a boy, went through sex change operation and now she is very happy becoming Anaya Bangar.
23 year old Anaya shared her story in a video on Monday. She also told how this will affect her cricket journey. She has said that even though he may have become Anaya from Aryan, cricket will remain the same for her. Anaya has been Aryan since childhood and cricket is in her veins.
Aryan has played for a local cricket club Islam Gymkhana. He has also represented Hinckley Cricket Club in Leicestershire. Now, Anaya is living in Manchester, England. She also plays cricket for a county club. However, this is not confirmed. Anaya recently shared a reel on Instagram about her journey with the game, in which she also talked about her various experiences including meeting players like Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni. The same reel also gave a glimpse of her skills as a batsman, in which she scored 145 runs.
Aryan is happy being Anaya
Now Anaya is happy after transforming into a girl. She wrote in his Instagram post,
‘ I made many sacrifices to realize my dream of playing cricket. But apart from this game, I also have a journey, which is related to my own discovery. This journey of mine has not been easy.But, the victory in this is bigger for me than all other things.’ It has now been 10 months since Aryan became Anaya and she also shares her videos and pictures on her Instagram account. He had also shared this post in which the ECB has banned transgender women from playing in women’s cricket.
