Sunrisers Hyderabad team, led by Shahbaz Ahmed, has reached the finals of the IPL 2024 season by defeating Rajasthan Royals on the basis of excellent performance by the bowlers. Hyderabad will face Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the Chepauk Stadium in Chennai on Sunday. KKR had defeated Hyderabad in the Qualifier-1 match and once again both the teams will face each other.Rajasthan had crossed the first hurdle to reach the final by defeating Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the eliminator, but the team could not cross the last hurdle before entering the title match and its journey ended here.

Rajasthan captain Sanju Samson had decided to bowl first after winning the toss, but Hyderabad recovered from a bad start and scored 175 runs for nine wickets in 20 overs with the help of Heinrich Klaasen’s half-century of 50 runs in 34 balls.In reply, Yashasvi Jaiswal gave a good start to Rajasthan, but after his dismissal, the rhythm of the team got disturbed. Although Dhruv Jurail tried to keep the team in the match by scoring a half-century, but the required run rate was so high that even Jurail’s efforts could not help. Rajasthan scored 139 runs for seven wickets in 20 overs. Spinner Shahbaz Ahmed, who came as an impact player for Hyderabad, bowled excellently. Shahbaz took three wickets and Rajasthan’s innings faltered. Rajasthan bid goodbye to the hope of winning the IPL trophy.
