Virat Kohli accused of ending Yuvraj Singh’s career, big statement from the World Cup winning player!

Whenever the history of Indian cricket is seen, it will be divided into two parts, firstly winning the ICC Trophy under the captaincy of MS Dhoni and secondly, one of the bravest players included in that team. The most attractive player in the team at that time was Yuvraj Singh. He was charismatic with both ball and bat and was the hero of the 2007 T20 World Cup and 2011 ODI World Cup. Battling cancer, he made India the world champion in 2011, but by the time he returned to Team India after defeating cancer, people along with him had stopped paying him any attention.

Management, power and thinking had changed and the greatest all-rounder in Indian history had to bid farewell to his career in a tragic manner.

Yuvraj Singh’s father once got so angry about this that he described MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli as villains and said that they ended his son’s career. Now in this whole matter, Robin Uthappa, the T20 World Cup winner in 2007 and who played under the captaincy of Mahendra Singh Dhoni in Chennai Super Kings, has revealed many secrets. He even told that Virat Kohli’s captaincy was different. Those who did not follow him had a bad fate. He told how Yuvraj Singh, who tried to make a comeback after defeating cancer, was treated badly.

Virat Kohli’s captaincy was different, one had to agree on everything from fitness to food

Talking about Virat’s captaincy, Uthappa said- Virat’s style of captaincy was different to such an extent that you needed to reach his level. Be it fitness, be it eating habits, be it listening, agreeing, it all should have been at that standard. Talking about Virat’s captaincy before Yuvraj was dropped from the team, Uthappa said- There are two different types of leaders. One leader who says this is the standard required and another leader who says I will meet you there and bring you up to the standard I need you to be at. Both work and both get results, but the impact on personnel will be different. In such a situation, a section will feel very disappointed.

Yuvi Pa was not given opportunities, he was treated badly

To explain how things changed under Kohli’s leadership, Uthappa cited the story of Yuvraj after his recovery from cancer. He told Lallantop – Take the example of Yuvi Pa. The man has defeated cancer and is now trying to make a comeback in the international team. He is the guy who won us the World Cup, along with other players he won two World Cups, but played a vital role in helping us win. Then, for such a player, when you become the captain, you say that his lung capacity has reduced. You were with him when you saw him struggle. Uthappa has played 46 ODIs and 13 T20 matches for India.

This is how Yuvraj was dealt with the team

Uthappa, who was Yuvraj’s teammate in the 2007 T20 World Cup winning team, said- You have seen him struggling. He also revealed that Yuvraj had asked for some relaxations in the fitness test levels, but his request was rejected. Then he gave the test because he was out of the team and they were not ready to take him. He passed the fitness test, came into the team, but played a bad tournament. On this he was completely thrown out. But Virat as a captain, he was a very ‘my way or not my way’ captain. It’s not that these guys aren’t like that, but how you treat your team, how you treat your players, it’s not just about the results.
