The test series is still going on between India and New Zealand. There have been two matches in the series, which the Indian team has lost. However, the third and last match is still pending. Meanwhile, preparations for the next series have also started. Team India has to go to South Africa at the beginning of next month. Where the Indian team has to play 4 T20 International matches.
VVS Laxman will go with Team India in South Africa series
VVS Laxman will be the head coach of the Indian team for the tour of South Africa. A report by Cricbuzz has come out regarding this. Although Gautam Gambhir is the head coach of Team India, but since the New Zealand series is going on, the last match of which will last till 5th November.
Meanwhile, Team India also has to go there for the Test series against Australia. Where it is more important for Gambhir to stay. This is the reason why VVS Lakshman is being given this responsibility for the South Africa series.
Team India may leave for South Africa soon
A top official of the Board of Control for Cricket in India i.e. BCCI has confirmed this decision to Cricbuzz. It is said that this series of four matches was not decided initially. Recently it was organized between BCCI and Cricket South Africa i.e. CSA.
The first T20 match between India and South Africa will be played on 8 November. After this the last match is to be played on 15th November. The team has been announced under the captaincy of Suryakumar Yadav, it is said that the team can leave for South Africa on 4th November.
