A goods train hit the Kanchenjunga Express train in Darjeeling district of West Bengal. There is a possibility of many people getting injured. The collision was so strong that the rear three bogies of the Kanchenjunga Express train were badly damaged. As soon as information about the accident was received, the rescue team immediately reached the spot. Rescue is going on.

The accident occurred near Darjeeling around 7:30 am on Wednesday. The incident site is located a few kilometers away from New Jalpaiguri Railway Station.According to preliminary information, the goods train lost control due to brake failure and hit the Kanchenjunga Express standing in front.
The collision was so strong that several coaches of Kanchenjunga Express derailed. NDRF team has also been deployed at the spot, which is helping in evacuating the stranded passengers safely.
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has also expressed grief over this accident and wished for the speedy recovery of the injured. The Chief Minister has ordered a high-level investigation into the incident and has ordered to make special arrangements for the treatment of the injured.
