Chief Minister Of Himachal Pradesh, Mr. Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu left for AIIMS in Delhi for a medical check-up on Friday. Sukhu had been admitted to Indira Gandhi Medical College and Hospital in Shimla after he complained of abdominal pain.
CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu was admitted to the AIIMS on Friday after being flown from a Shimla hospital where he was being treated for a stomach infection, sources said, “He was brought at around 11.20 am. He is being evaluated by a team of doctors here led by Dr Pramod Garg, Professor in the Department of Gastroenterology. He is suffering from mild to moderate acute pancreatitis. He is stable”.
Indira Gandhi Medical College and Hospital (IGMCH) earlier said that the chief minister is stable and all his reports are normal, “Various tests have been conducted since Wednesday night and a stomach infection was detected”.
Head of the Department of Gastroenterology Dr Brij Sharma, who was leading the six-member team of senior doctors monitoring the CM here has accompanied Sukhu to the AIIMS, as per the latest reports.
Principal Media Advisor to the chief minister, Naresh Chauhan said the chief minister was traveling extensively over the last few days and must have eaten something outside that caused the infection. The CM arrived at AIIMS at around 11.20 AM and is now being evaluated by a team of doctors led by Dr Pramod Garg, a professor in the Department of Gastroenterology. The sources have confirmed that the chief minister is suffering from mild to moderate acute pancreatitis but is in a stable condition.
