Some Android phones might lose the WhatsApp app forever!!
From October 24, WhatsApp won’t be available on Android phones that don’t have the latest update 4.1 version.
WhatsApp is one of the most popular instant messaging apps right now. Many Android and iOS users use the app daily for work, business or to connect with their friends and family. But, if you are using an Android or iOS smartphone running on the old version of the operating system, you will not be able to use WhatsApp from next month!! WhatsApp shared a list of devices that will no longer support this messaging app starting October 34, 2024 and that’s only 30 days away!!
A list of Android smartphones that were released from WhatsApp support includes smartphones from brands such as Apple, Samsung, LG, ZTE, Huawei, Sony, and Alcatel.WhatsApp’s decision to end support for a few models in Android and iPhone should not be a great deal as the list calls out are either old or outdated operating systems. For the models listed, WhatsApp will not roll out any updates or features, and eventually, the service will stop. The whole list is given below.
Apple Phones: iPhone SE, iPhone 6S, and iPhone 6S Plus
Samsung Phones: Samsung Galaxy Trend Lite, Galaxy Trend II, Galaxy SII, Galaxy S3 mini, Galaxy Xcover 2, Galaxy Core and Galaxy Ace 2
LG Phones: Lucid 2, LG Optimus F7, LG Optimus F5, Optimus L3 II Dual, Optimus L5, Optimus L5 II, Optimus L5 Dual, Optimus L3 II, Optimus L7, Optimus L7 II Dual, Optimus L7 II, Optimus F6, Enact, Optimus L4 II Dual, Optimus F3, Optimus L4 II, Optimus L2 II, Optimus Nitro HD, 4X HD and Optimus F3Q.
ZTE Phones: ZTE Grand S Flex, ZTE V956, Grand X Quad V987 and ZTE Grand Memo.
Huawei Phones: Ascend G740, Ascend Mate, Ascend D Quad XL, Ascend D1 Quad XL, Ascend P1 S, and Ascend D2.
Sony Phones: Xperia Miro, Sony Xperia Neo L, and Xperia Arc S.
