The Citizenship Amendment Act, which is known as CAA 2019 was passed by the Parliament of India on 11 December 2019. But what is CAA? It will provide an accelerated pathway to Indian citizenship for persecuted religious minorities from Afghanistan, Bangladesh and Pakistan who are Hindus, Sikhs, Buddhists, Jains, Parsis or Christians, and arrived in India before the end of December 2014. The nation is getting ransacked because of this. In this situation, a picture of Amit Shah’s car is going on viral! But Why?
A picture that shows Amit Shah is arriving at BJP headquarters in a car with the number plate ‘DL1C AA 4421′, has gone viral! A picture which is showing Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s car, has gone viral on social media. The reason is quite funny! It shows that Shah is arriving at BJP headquarters in a car, but with the number plate ‘DL1C AA 4421’! This comes because just before some days, the Ministry of Home Affairs, Amit Shah has announced the Citizenship Amendment Act or the CAA 2019 regulations ahead of the enforcement of the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
On the CAA, Amit Shah has said that the law was passed in 2019. After issuing the rules in this matter, the act will be implemented as soon as possible, before the Lok Sabha elections. Shah said, ‘CAA is the law of the country, its notification will definitely be done. CAA has to be implemented before the elections so no one should have any confusion in this. He said, ‘Our Muslim brothers are being misled and instigated against CAA. CAA is meant to grant citizenship only to those who have come to India after facing persecution in Pakistan, Afghanistan and Bangladesh. This is not to take away anyone’s Indian citizenship.’
