Blast at Israel Embassy in Delhi Sparks Concerns of Possible Attack

A blast happened in proximity of the Israeli embassy in Delhi around 5:20, on Tuesday. This has been confirmed by Israeli Embassy spokesperson Guy Nir. Government Officials are still inspecting the area and it has been reopened to the general public. However, no embassy staff got hurt in this incident.

The Delhi Police received a call about this particular blast that happened near the Israel Embassy, on Tuesday evening. A team of police reached the spot as soon as possible. A witness of this incident has confirmed, “This happened around 5 pm. I was on my duty and heard a loud sound, similar to that of a bursting tyre. When I came out, I saw smoke coming from the top of a tree. That’s all I saw.”

The government has urged its citizens to exercise caution ho living in India, specifically in New Delhi. According to Israel’s National Security Council, there “may have been an attack”. What had happened that day?

There was a blast near the embassy around 5:20 on Tuesday. Israel’s foreign ministry said, none got hurt, and all their staffs were unharmed after the blast. Israeli authorities were cooperating with the Indian counterparts, to investigate this matter and the cause of the explosion property.

Delhi Police has found no explosives so far but the search operation is going on still. Although a letter addressed to the Israeli ambassador was found. It was found near ‘the place where the “explosion” took place. This site is situated behind the IIsraeliembassy premises.
