5 foods that will heat your body!!

Foods that generally contain more fat, protein and carbohydrates often heat the body up while digesting food. Most foods that we generally eat have the ability to produce heat in the body. They take time to digest, so the body system needs more energy to stimulate the process, which produces heat. When food causes the temperature in your body to increase, it is known as thermogenesis. Thermogenesis happens when your body breaks down the food that you consume to produce brown fat which has a particular protein.

 

Dry fruits

Dry fruits are very effective to keep the body warm in winter. Almonds, cashews or walnuts are good sources of good fats. And they help regulate our body temperature and keep the body warm. Eating dates and raisins will also give good results. These foods are preferred as breakfast in cold season. Dates are great for getting iron. Figs, dates, olives are also good options too.

Iron-rich foods

Iron carries oxygen to all parts of the body. So, to keep the body warm, you should eat enough iron-rich foods. Red meat, liver, duck and chicken contain iron. You can also eat bananas, green beans, green beans, radishes, beans, chickpeas, chickpeas, green beans, cauliflower stalks, coriander leaves, black beans, turnips, ripe tamarinds, beans, strawberries, watermelon, apples, guavas, currants, oats, red rice. etc. Raisins, pumpkin seeds, dates, walnuts, almonds also contain iron among dry fruits.

some herbs and spices can help keep your body warm. black pepper, fenugreek, ajwain, ginger, garlic, dill, cumin,Turmeric, Coriander seeds help in fighting against coughs and flu, stimulate appetite, keeps our body warm. They help in digestion and increase blood circulation too.

 

Complex Carbs

Whole grains and complex carbohydrates take more energy to break down than simple. That causes to produce heat. processed food like white bread or junk food doesn’t do that. Since the body works longer to digest complex carbs, it could increase your body heat while giving that added benefit of satiety or feeling full for longer.

 

Honey

Honey is known to be warm in nature and is much more than a sweetener. Honey alone or added in foods will also help in winter as they keeps our body warm. Honey is traditionally known as a cure for cough and cold. Honey can be included in a pregnant and lactating mother’s diet as long as they do not have a history of diabetes. Kids can start having honey only after they turn 1 year old.
