According to the latest news, four soldiers got killed in action and three were severely injured. This happened during a sudden gunfight with the terrorists attackers in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district today.
The Indian army was conducting an operation since Wednesday night in Dera Ki Gali,which is also known as DKG area. “Based on hard intelligence, a joint operation was launched in the general area of DKG last night. Contact has been established this evening, and an encounter is in progress,” a defence spokesperson said.
But the encounter started when terrorist attackers got hold of two army vehicles by surprise attac. This happened in Dera Ki Gali in Rajouri’s Poonch region, at 3.45 pm today. Till now with knew from the latest reports that three soldiers got killed in that attack. Another three soldiers are brutally injured. With those two vehicles, army gypsy and trucks were also attacked.
On April 2023, this same kind of incident has happened. 30 people got killed on a massive search operation to track down the terrorists who ambushed an Army truck in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch. Last month, in November , five soldiers with two Captains got killed in action in an anti-terror operation in Rajouri’s Kalakote. Till now more than 35 soldiers got killed in the anti terror action operations in this particular area in just past two years.
