Shahjahan Sheikh was taken into custody within 24 hours, after the Calcutta High Court stated that the CBI, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) or the West Bengal Police can arrest him. Now the recent breaking news is that the Trinamool Congress party has suspended Sandeshkhali accused Shajahan Sheikh from the party for a period of six years!

The Calcutta High Court has stated that “no sympathy” for TMC leader Shajahan Sheikh, and the the court has asked his lawyer to appear on March 4. TMC leader from Sandeshkhali , named Shajahan Sheikh is famous on television now.

He is accused of sexual abusing and land grab in Sandeshkhali. The accused leader got arrested in the early hours of Thursday. Ot is notable that he was on run for 55 days. The world has witnessed violent protests led by local women and a fierce political slugfest.

Trinamool Congress suspended him from the party for six years. This move was announced in a press meet. The leaders of TMC PARTY slammed the BJP and dared it to act against tainted leaders in its ranks.

The senior party leader Derek O’Brien has said the Mamata Banerjee has taught the Trinamool Congress to stand by the innocent people and taught that they won’t tolerate “no nonsense, whoever you are”. “If you have hurt or are alleged to have hurt the people, we walk the talk,” he has said.

“They wanted to keep the Sandeshkhali issue alive till the Prime Minister’s Bengal trip. After our leader Abhishek Banerjee’s remark on the high court’s stay and the court’s clarification, we went ahead and arrested Sheikh Shahjahan,” said the minister.
