According to the report, after the ban, this military contingent will not be able to use American weapons. In 1977, US Senator Patrick Leahy drafted a law under which if any military or police force is accused of human rights violations, the US Army does not provide it with training or weapons. This is known as Liahi law.

Israeli PM got angry at America

Blinken had hinted about the ban during the meeting of G7 countries in Italy. Let us tell you that these restrictions will be regarding the military action in the West Bank which was already taken on 7 October. Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu became furious over this decision of America. He said such restrictions should not be imposed on the Israeli army. We have talked to senior US officials regarding this and that any kind of ban on us is not appropriate.

Netanyahu said, at a time when our soldiers are fighting a war against terrorists. In such a situation, taking action against the Israeli army contingent is against morality. Our government will stand against such steps in every way. The report also said that the US had also conducted investigations against other IDF troops and police, on which no action would be taken.
