The time has come to decide the direction of America and the world for the coming four years. On Tuesday morning, voting will begin in America to elect the new President and by late night it will probably be decided who will be the next leader there. Although there are a total of eight candidates in the US presidential election, the main contest is between Indian-origin Vice President and Democratic Party candidate Kamala Devi Harris and Republican Party candidate former President Donald Trump.
Tough competetion between Trump and Harris
On the last day of campaigning, Kamala Harris made efforts to woo voters of black and Arab origin in her favor. While his rival Donald Trump tried to garner sympathy for his attack at a rally in Pennsylvania. Opinion polls are showing that there is a tough contest between the two candidates.
7.7 crore voters have voted
60-year-old Kamala is getting the support of a large section of women from every section, while 78-year-old Trump is being supported by a large section of voters and men belonging to Latin American countries. Even before the scheduled date of voting on Tuesday, 7.7 crore voters of America have already voted through alternative methods.
Decisions will have to be taken looking at the future- Harris
“The day has come to decide the future of our future generations,” Harris said at Detroit’s Greater Emmanuel Institutional Church. We have to take decisions keeping in mind the future of the country. We have to take decisions for the welfare and democracy of our community. After this, while addressing about two lakh people of Arab origin in East Lansing, Michigan, Harris said, expressed grief over the deaths and difficulties of common people in Gaza and Lebanon.
The past year has been tragic for the people of Gaza, he said. The same thing is happening in Lebanon now. Said, as Vice President, she made every possible effort to stop the destruction in Gaza and will continue these efforts in future also. Whereas Trump addressed three public meetings in the last round.
Trump called opinion poll fake
Putting aside the teleprompter, Trump addressed the people in his familiar cool style. He called those opinion polls which are showing Kamala Harris in the contest as fake. The former President described Harris as incompetent, weak and unbalanced. Said that if the Democrat candidate wins, the world will move closer to the Third World War, while if he wins, America’s old glory and prosperity will return.
