The death toll in the South Korea plane crash has increased. According to the information, 177 people have died in the plane crash so far. During this accident at Muan Airport, were 181 people on board the flight, including 6 crew members. During landing, the flight slipped from the runway and collided with the facing. After this, the plane suddenly caught fire.

According to the officials’ information, the plane was landing at the southwestern coastal airport at 9:07 a.m. local time on Sunday. 32 fire engines and several helicopters were deployed to control the fire. The victim of the accident was Jeju Air flight 7C2216, a Boeing 737-800.

South Korea’s National Fire Agency said the fire is almost extinguished, but officials are trying to evacuate people from the passenger plane at the airport in Muan city. During the rescue, two people, including a passenger and a crew member, were pulled out alive. The agency said 32 fire engines and several helicopters were deployed to control the fire. The accident victim was Jeju Air flight 7C2216, a Boeing 737-800.

The plane’s landing gear did not open

According to media reports, footage of the accident showed the Jeju Air plane sliding on the runway, apparently with its landing gear still closed. It is being told that the front landing gear of the plane failed to open and the plane collided with the fencing after sliding on the runway. Pictures showed that after the collision, the plane caught fire with a loud explosion. Emergency officials in Muan said they were investigating the cause of the fire. The Transport Ministry said the incident occurred at 9:03 am local time. The plane was returning from Bangkok and its passengers included two Thai citizens.
