Iraqi TikToker Om Fahad shot dead outside of own residence!

Om Fahad came to light for Making lighthearted videos of herself dancing to Iraqi music wearing funny clothes in social media platform tiktok. An unidentified attacker shot Om Fahad in her car when she was in the Zayouna district. The incident happened on Friday, according to the latest reports. A security official has informed all these but requested to stay unknown because he did not wanted to speak to the media. According to the report, an unidentified man on a motorbike has shot the social media influencer Om Fahad outside her Baghdad home.

She died in a late-night attack outside her home in eastern Baghdad’s Zoyouna district!

A CCTV camera footage has captured the whole incident of the attack that happened on Friday. The video shows that a lone man who was wearing dark clothing and a helmet got off a bike, walked towards the black SUV of Om Fahad and hot Om Fahad, who was sitting inside. Her real name is Ghufran Sawadi, she was popular in the name of Om Fahad on TikTok. She has nearly half a million followers on tiktok. That influencer used to share funny videos of herself dancing to pop music.

In February last year, a court sentenced her to six months in prison for sharing “videos containing indecent speech that undermines modesty and public morality”. The government of Iraq had launched a campaign in 2023 to clear up every social media content that has anyhow breached Iraqi “morals and traditions”. An interior ministry committee was made by the government to clean TikTok, YouTube and other platforms from offensive Contents. Multiple influencers including On farad were arrested because of this.
