Tamannaah Bhatia got summoned for illegal streaming case of IPL! See Who else are involved

Bollywood actress Tamannaah Bhatia’s name has surfaced in the illegal Indian Premier League (IPL) match streaming case. Sources claim that Bhatia has been called by Maharashtra Cyber Cell for questioning in connection with the case. The actress has been asked to appear at the Cyber Cell office for questioning on April 29. According to the report of news agency ANI, Maharashtra Cyber Wing has called Tamannaah Bhatia for questioning in connection with the illegal streaming of IPL 2023 on Fairplay App, a sister app of Mahadev betting app.

What is the illegal streaming case?

According to a complaint by a broadcaster, some IPL matches were streamed illegally on the app. Maharashtra Cyber Cell has already recorded the statements of the managers of singer Badshah, Sanjay Dutt and Jacqueline Fernandez in the case. Tamanna has been summoned by Maharashtra Cyber Cell on charges of promoting watching Indian Premier League (IPL) matches on Fairplay betting app. It is also reported that the name of veteran actor Sanjay Dutt has also come up in this case. He was asked to appear for questioning earlier this week. However, he could not attend due to his personal schedule and has asked for a new date.

FairPlay is a supporting application of Mahadev online gaming app, which also provides the platform for illegal betting in various live games like Cricket, Poker, Badminton, Tennis, Football Card Games and Chance Games. In February last year, the app came under the target of investigation agencies after a Rs 200 crore wedding in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), which was paid entirely in cash.
