MI vs RR IPL 2024 Match Report: Rajasthan scored a hat-trick of wins!

Rajasthan Royals (RR) have scored a hat-trick of wins in IPL 2024. RR hoisted the winning flag against Mumbai Indians (MI) by 6 wickets on Monday. MI set a target of 126 runs at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, which Rajasthan chased by losing four wickets in 15.3 overs. Mumbai team led by Hardik Pandya has faced defeat in consecutive winning matches. Riag Parag played a brilliant half-century for RR. He scored unbeaten 54 runs in 39 balls. Parag hit five fours and three sixes.He added 32 runs for the fourth wicket with R Ashwin (16). Parag made an unbroken partnership of 39 runs for the fifth wicket with Shubham Dubey (8 not out).

Rajasthan Royals’ openers Yashvi Jaiwal (10), Jos Buttler (13) and captain Sanju Samson (12) could not show anything special. Mumbai fast bowler Akash Madhwal took three wickets. Kwena Mafaka hunted one. Earlier, Mumbai scored 125/9.For RR, Trent Boult (three wickets for 22 runs) and Yuzvendra Chahal (three wickets for 11 runs) bowled lethally. Pacer Nandre Berger took two wickets. Hardik scored the most runs for MI. He scored 34 runs in 21 balls with 6 fours. Tilak Verma played an inning of 32 runs.RR included Nandre Berger in place of Sandeep Sharma. Veteran spinner Ravichandran Ashwin, part of RR, scored a special double century on Monday. Actually, Ashwin came on the field to play his 200th IPL match.

 

Mumbai Indians, who came to bat first after losing the toss, had a very poor start. Bolt sent Rohit Sharma and Naman Dheer to the pavilion in the first over. He dismissed Dewald Brevis in the third over.All three became victims of the Golden Duck. Ishan Kishan (16) could not play a big innings. The poor condition of Mumbai can be gauged from the fact that four wickets fell at the score of just 20. After this, Hardik and Tilak made a partnership of 56 runs for the fifth wicket and stopped the fall of wickets. Chahal hunted Hardik in the 10th over and Tilak in the 14th over. Tim David (17) could not leave a mark. Piyush Chawla could score only 3 runs.MI did not make any changes in its playing eleven.
